We never received the room we booked because there were no available rooms. Even though we got a confirmation email, nobody cared about it. This all became clear at 10 pm.

“Great place to stay in a quiet corner of Thamel”

The staff were very friendly and helpful, arranging a few taxis for us. The room was very comfortable and the shower was the best we’ve had in Nepal. The breakfast was delicious.

“Great value hotel, well located with lovely garden area”

Breakfast was part of the room rate and came as a standard Nepal‑style buffet with both hot and cold options, plus eggs cooked to your preference. We ate in the dining room or the garden, and the staff were genuinely nice and attentive. The hotel sits close to the Garden of Dreams in Thamel, on a quiet, safe street with good restaurants, coffee shops, and a taxi stand nearby, and it’s only a 5‑minute walk to the busy Thamel town centre. There was short‑term parking available for our manager to pick us up easily. I was satisfied with everything – the room was good for the price, there was plenty of hot water, and we were offered any extras we needed, like shampoo and towels.

I’ve stayed at Blue Horizon many times over the years, and it’s always a good experience, especially now that the rooms have been upgraded with new beds and bathrooms. The hotel is on a quiet street but just a block from Thamel. I’d like the laundry to apologise – I found my socks in my laundry bag.
