We really liked the place, the bath and the restaurant, the staff were very welcoming, and the room was very pretty and spacious.

When we arrived, we were treated to local sweets and hojicha tea; the property feels like stepping into another era. My 6'2" (188 cm) height kept bumping my head, but the room was a delight to stretch out in. There’s a lounge area beside the bathroom, a fountain pen, and a desk for notes. Breakfast was a must‑have, and I’d add dinner next time. Walking to other restaurants was a bit of a chore, but the staff happily called ahead to check availability and even handed out umbrellas during storms. We tried most of the included “coupons” for local shops, especially loving the sweets shop and the public bath, which allows tattoos on weekdays. The building’s glass pane windows rattled loudly during storms; earplugs were necessary. Perhaps a shim could be added between the panes to reduce the noise.

The whole place was perfect, the village was charming, the people were wonderful, and it was genuinely fun. We loved everything and recommend it wholeheartedly.
