Rocksalt Rooms sits directly on Folkestone’s beachfront, offering a lush garden, spacious terrace, and uninterrupted sea views. Each room includes a private bathroom, free toiletries, hairdryer, tea/coffee maker, and flat‑screen TV. The on‑site family‑friendly restaurant serves fresh seafood, full English and Irish breakfasts, and live music. Within five minutes walks to Folkestone Beach, under a kilometre to the harbour, and 17 minutes to the central railway station.

The restaurant staff were lovely, knowledgeable, and always ready to answer questions or help out. The dining area was delightful, and breakfast was good too; the location is also convenient. The room itself was tiny, as was the shower/toilet area, and I really wanted a bath (I should have read the details more carefully – my mistake). Sound from above was loud, and the TV screen was awkwardly positioned, so I had to turn my neck to see it from the bed, and there was no other place to sit because of the cramped size.

The location is great with a view of the harbour, it’s quiet at night, and the room is comfortable and spacious. The free earplugs were handy for the early‑morning fishing harbour noises. Otherwise, the room is really cosy and special.
