The area is very secluded, not noisy, and tucked away, which was great though hard to reach, but the lady came to pick us up. Nothing else, everything was great, hospitality was amazing.

The setting is beautiful, in the countryside surrounded by lush green forests. The bathroom is spacious, beds comfortable, and there’s a working desk and chairs. The host is generally responsive (even though remote) and has a helpful assistant. The garden is clean with a well‑maintained pool. A few problems: the house sits on a dirt track in a back alley, and after rain the road becomes impassable; my husband had to improvise a bridge over a huge puddle at first, and the issue was only “patched” after we asked the landlady. The housekeeper had to drive through the big puddle daily and seemed indifferent, sending a negative signal to guests. The kitchen stove broke during our 10‑day stay; it was replaced eventually but required at least three attempts, which we’d prefer had been fixed once and properly. The biggest problem: this place is not a quiet retreat; it’s surrounded by locals blasting music from 7:30 am to 9 pm, with the whole village rotating the noise and using loudspeakers at full volume. We tried speaking to locals, but they shrugged and said “We know it’s loud and late, so what.” Each time we reported noise to the host, we were told it was a ceremony allowed by the village head. Mostly we heard pop music in Indonesian, and on the last day there was karaoke with a visibly drunk person behind the mic starting at 8 am. We had planned a 3‑week stay but left early after learning the next ceremony would last 4–5 days.

The rooms were clean and roomy, and the large terrace with the kitchen was nice, offering a lovely view of the mountains. However, the arrival was a disaster—no instructions, the location was at the end of a dirt path, and the address on the booking site was wrong. Our taxi tried to contact you on two numbers that didn't work, and we were never offered breakfast. The hotel is far from everything, making it hard to find a taxi, and the first shop is a 15‑minute walk away.

The villa was super friendly and the pool was very enjoyable. The only issue was finding it; the directions you provided led us elsewhere. The owner was very responsive and sent staff to guide us. The second problem was parking the car on a narrow, rough path.

The view was spectacular, the staff adorable, and the owner answered quickly on WhatsApp. Breakfast could be offered as an extra, which was very appreciated. Thanks again for everything. A note: the house is split into two units—two rooms on the upper floor and two rooms on the lower floor—so it’s two separate rentals but not at all disruptive. The taxi the owner offered was quite pricey, 15 € for a 10‑minute round‑trip to the restaurant, but it served us well the first night.
