“Double check what's available”

We chose this place because it’s just off the Anglesey Coastal Path, so we could walk there without a car. The building and grounds looked lovely, and we got access codes early so we could leave our bags and go out. We booked it as a bed and breakfast with evening food, but the day before we were told there would be no breakfast, no food, and no bar service. We were given 30 cash back! Apparently the guest house has been taken over and not sorted out yet. We were lucky that someone we knew could help us with food, because there are no facilities in Dwyan. Worse, there was no soap—hand soap was missing—and other basics like a hairdryer were absent. The room was very tired and frankly not worth the money, even with the breakfast refund. I hope they’ll make clear in advance exactly what is on offer. I booked a long way in advance, so there was plenty of time to inform me of the lack of facilities so I could have cancelled and re‑booked somewhere suitable.

The place is functional, but I paid for breakfast and didn’t get it. There’s no place to eat nearby.

“Over priced”

It’s close to the Anglesey stepping stones and other attractions, only a short drive away. However, it was not staffed and felt more like a self‑catering accommodation than a BB/guest house. I arrived at 3 pm (as per the booking) and found a note on the door saying no one was there until 4 pm. Nicer hotels nearby offer the same price or less.

The woman working there—Jez was her name, I think—was so nice and easy to get on with. She was very helpful with everything and gave us great recommendations on where to go. She was also a very good cook and even accommodated a vegetarian breakfast.
