“We had everything we need for snow trip!!!!”
The staff were hospitable, the place was clean, breakfast was good, and the rooms were warm and spacious. No negatives.
I got a solid 9.0/10. The place offered good value, and the breakfast that came with the stay was tasty. The only snag was that the bed had a doona but no sheet.
“4 days in Hakuba”
I’d score this 10.0/10. If we ever return to Hakuba, we’ll stay here again. The location was ideal for us because it kept us away from the town’s bustle. We used the daily shuttle to Tsugaike and it worked perfectly. Food options in the area are limited, so we grabbed snacks, beer, and other fare from the konbini in Tsugaike. Getting to Hakuba was just a short walk to the road for the shuttle. Alan and his staff were cool, helpful, and fun. We brought our own boards, but I’d be happy to rent from Amigo next time because they rent good boards. Everything was great for our needs.
“I had an enjoyable stay as the owner and staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome.”
I’d rate it a perfect 10.0/10. The breakfast was tasty, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the remote location was offset by a staff‑driven shuttle to the local ski resort. The lounge was comfortable and having a fridge for guests’ food was a nice touch. I would have liked a bedside lamp for reading in bed.
“Lovely home, awesome communal area, beds are comfortable and the onsen is worth it. Staff are super helpful and friendly”
I’d give it a 10.0/10. The vibe felt like a family home. The downside is that shops and restaurants aren’t within walking distance; you need a car.
