Ramada by Wyndham Fredericton

The idea of an internal restaurant and mini resort intrigued me, but it was shut down. The motel sat beside a busy road under repair, and the building itself was being refurbished—a fact that wasn’t disclosed when I booked. Even though our room had been updated, workers were still in nearby rooms and their mess showed up in the stairwell and other areas. The restaurant was closed, and there was no nearby alternative unless you drove. Even if the place weren’t being refurbished, there was nothing within walking distance.

“Disappointing”

The toilet and tub were filthy, with hair on the tub, and the hairdryer was broken off the wall. The carpet in the room was badly stained. The pool looked dirty, and a ring was visible around the hot tub. There was no coffee or water in the lobby, which is usually standard elsewhere. The road construction out front made things even tougher, but that wasn’t their fault.

“The one night stay at the Ramada was dirty, unpleasant and too expensive for what they have to offer. I want a refund.”

The location was close to everything we needed, but the place was dirty—bathroom in our room, the common area, and the pool were all disgusting and hadn’t been cleaned. The hot tub was out of order, and we weren’t told about that before we arrived, which was a major reason we chose this hotel.

The price was good.

“Off to a bad start”

The room and the breakfast was ok but the directions to the room was poor and it is a big complex. Staff that can give better directions
