Located near the Badischen Bahnhof, public transport is right outside the door, giving perfect access to the city center. The only downside might be the high prices, but travelers to Switzerland know this is normal.

For train riders and cyclists like us, the proximity to Basel Bad Bhf. was ideal, and the staff were willing to accommodate our bicycles. The overnight rate seemed excessive even by Swiss standards, and the breakfast at 18:00 SFR per person offered no real variety, with nothing added. The annoying noise from the kitchen—separated from the breakfast area only by a plank and curtain—was a burden for both guests and staff.

The location was great, but the beds left something to be desired.

The staff was very nice and tried to do their best. They helped making the experience ok. The room we had was rather large. It was clean and, as we were on the backyard, quiet 8on teh front it is noisy I think). The location is handy and the basel card allows you to travel easily around with the trams and busses as tehre are plenty just in front of the hotel. This is NOT a 4 star hotel. The reception is closed after 5 pm on weekdays and 3 pm on weekends. Therefore you cant leave your luggages. There are no lobby, no bar to take a drink and basically no common spaces. The breakfast is ok-ish but more like a 2 star hotel. The TV was not working (and as there is no staff to ask, you just have to put up with it - or rather without it). Some of the furniture is dated and the tiling on the floor makes it cold and uncomfy. Overall you're left with some kind of a dodgy feeling. Overall it was not catastrophic (we basically slept well in clean sheets) but really not a 4 star feeling. For the price of a 2 star it would have been great, but for a 4 star price it is not pleasant (when we were there we could have slept elsewhere in real 4 star hotels for the same price) and I basically felt ripped off

The staff were incredibly friendly and the place was spotless, right in front of the main train station and several tram lines. The rooms felt a bit smaller than a typical 4‑star, and while the hotel was well connected, it wasn’t close enough to the main sights.
