The location is secluded and peaceful. The shower was awful, the pillows were wafer‑thin and uncomfortable, and the balcony posts were rotten and unsafe to lean on.

The spot was decent, we hit a couple of forest walls. The place felt like the 80s, furniture looked unchanged since before I was born, the deck was wet and slippery, the sofa and carpets were so bad we sat outside in the rain instead of on them. We tried the numbers in the welcome pack and on the site for electricity questions, but no one answered; we left 5‑6 messages and emails with no reply. The next day we got an email reminding us to tidy up and put linen in the bag, but no response to any concerns. The cleaners or upkeep team seemed clueless; the place had a horrible smell. We had to leave the door open and sit outside in all weather because it was so stuffy. They charge over £180 per night for this, which is disgraceful, and then add £4.50 extra a day for electricity—a gamble if it will stay on.

The location is fine. The whole property smells damp constantly, the glass and wooden porch fence are unsafe, the wood is rotten and moves a lot, and the deck wood is rotting in places too.

The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was great; all utensils were neat and clean. A damp, musty air greets you when you enter. The toilet is tiny, so you hit the door with your head when standing. The French doors were so grimy inside (full of cobwebs and bugs) that we had to clean them before we could close them.

The spot is perfectly positioned and the sauna comes in handy on rainy days; I’ll tell everyone to book here and they won’t be disappointed.
