The place had great chill vibes for dogs and guests, and everything was wonderfully curated; you could walk to anywhere in town in 4–12 minutes, and the value was amazing. A bigger off‑leash area would be nice, but it wasn’t a major problem.

The bed looked nice, but I questioned how clean the linens were compared to the rest of the place. The overall appearance was dumpy; the Jacuzzi was only lukewarm and had hair on the sides, the “lodge” was being used as a storage shed, the microwave was dirty, and there was a dumpster on site with old mattresses outside. We ended up booking the Ponderosa hotel up the street because we didn’t feel comfortable staying there. The online reviews must be AI‑generated or fake, since the place hardly deserved one star and the reviews show four and five stars. What a waste of $169 and a disappointment for our New Year’s Eve stay.

The location was convenient, the beds were comfy, check‑in was remote, and the staff were nice. The shower heads were a bit lacking.

We loved the overall vibe with all the hammocks, fire pits, seating areas, and twinkle lights—it felt like a campground in the middle of nowhere. The bed was really comfy and the coffee was great! We didn’t have enough time to enjoy everything, which is on us, not Left Coast Lodge. We definitely need to return for a couple of days.

Being so close to town meant we could walk easily. The property’s location feels quite woodsy, and we had easy access to the McKinzie River area and waterfalls.
