The hotel was spotlessly clean
The breakfast on the rooftop was fantastic
The staff were incredibly accommodating, allowing us to check in late at night and even storing our bags at their cafe for as long as we needed the next day

“A pleasant stay in Selcuk.”
A nice hotel a bit quieter than the noisy center, right across from the Basilica of St. John. The room is small but spotless, with a lovely view of the Basilica and all the essentials. The terrace is pleasant: breakfast is served there, not overly plentiful but enough to start the day right. Parking is always available on the nearby streets. On the ground floor there’s a cozy café and a shop selling handicrafts and souvenirs. The owners are very friendly; before we left they offered us an excellent coffee. The only drawback is the steep, narrow stairs for heavy luggage. Overall we had a good stay and would gladly return.
“Super recommended!”
The view from the room and rooftop is lovely, and the surroundings are quiet. The Ephesus archaeological site is a 10‑minute drive away. The room was very spacious and clean. The hotel serves pizza in its restaurant, but we recommend visiting Kybele restaurant instead – it was amazing. There is no private parking, but you can park for free on the street. Breakfast isn’t a buffet; they serve Turkish breakfast with tea. It felt like a family‑run hotel, so everything is done genuinely, but the check‑in welcome and English language skills could use improvement.
The only redeeming points were the breakfast and the proximity to Ephesus. The room we were given was impossible to move in; there was no bin, no fridge (especially in Turkey’s summer heat), no tea or coffee facilities, no lift, no reception phone, and no way to hang toilet paper. The hair dryer worked only intermittently. It’s a 9‑minute walk to the hotel, but the terrain is all uphill, which wasn’t mentioned.
The view of the castle wall and the proximity to historic sites are great. The breakfast, though, offers only vegetables and cheese, which isn’t suitable for Europeans; it lacks fruit, eggs, bread with butter and jam, and yogurt.
“1 notte a Selcuk”
A splendid panoramic terrace to enjoy good pizza and a drink. The room is welcoming and clean, and the location is good. The breakfast comes as a pre‑made plate; I’d have preferred a buffet, but it was still plentiful and appreciated.
