Shiny River Hotel

The breakfast was as good as ever, absolutely fantastic! I stayed a second time after a wonderful first visit, but this time a few basics were missing: no kettle and no napkins in the room. Hot water was only available in the restaurant, and it was unclear how to get it or how to use it. If it were in the room, it would be an extra charge. I’ve tried to recall all the hotels I’ve stayed in over the past year – none had this issue; kettles were always provided. And napkins – you can’t use toilet paper for that. The shower’s technical equipment should be updated.

Breakfast was fine, but could use more meat options. The bathroom had blackening on the shower floor, likely mold on the seal.

Nice hotel, large room, well equipped. It’s right by the river with a grocery nearby. The breakfast was very good, with many items.

“It is ok if nowhere to stay other than that I wouldn’t like to be back to this hotel.”

The location, breakfast, and roomy rooms are positives. Everything else feels outdated and smells old. The tap water tastes and smells rusty. The shower door is flimsy, letting water leak and create a big puddle that’s a safety hazard and could cause slips. The view from the window was awful, and opening it let kitchen odors drift in, which was unpleasant.
