“Avoid at all costs”
It’s just a place to sleep, but it was an absolute shambles: the fridge and TV were only for show, there was no kettle, and the place should not be listed on their site—100% avoid booking, even if desperate; my advice is to sleep in your car.
“Shite.”
Nothing positive; they scammed us, refused to give us the room we paid for, and when we called the website for a refund, the hotel put them on hold.
“Simply waste”
Nothing positive; everything was terrible.
“Not Worth the EXPENSE”
Checking in was easy even at a late hour, but there was only one toilet for multiple rooms, the room and bed were cold, the heater wasn’t working, and the site and street were dark and felt creepy.
Only the location was suitable, yet the staff kept me waiting in front of the main door for 15 minutes in the rain, the front was filthy, the doorbell didn’t work, and after many attempts I finally reached them via two phone numbers; the standard double bedroom with city view and ensuite that I booked wasn’t given for two days, so they assigned an attic room with a double bed and a single bed; there’s no kitchen to fill water bottles or make tea/coffee, and the caretaker suggested using tap water from the bathroom—pathetic; neither room had a hair dryer, the chair was broken, and the single bed in the attic was broken and only partially fixed with a particle board; overall, having paid fully in advance I was stuck with no cancellation option, and customer service was very poor when I tried to report these problems—my wife and I had a bad holiday stay, and this type of property should not be on the website; a budget guesthouse does not mean living in a slum.
