“Nobody even contacted us”
I flew in from out of state, picked up the girl I’d booked the room for, and then spent three hours outside the hotel trying to figure out how to get in; after that I was told the booking had been cancelled at the last minute, ruining my entire weekend. I ended up in a less desirable room because it was Valentine’s weekend.
The room was very friendly, beautiful, and cozy – we’re definitely returning.
“Perfect for a short stay close to Allentown airport. Clean and spacious.”
The place was spotless, and the host communicated clearly and responded quickly. The room was roomy, the TV offered many channels, and the location was very close to the airport, making it ideal for a short stay. I wish I’d known a few things beforehand: the sheets and towels had a scented fragrance, and I’m sensitive to that, so ask the host if they use scented fabric softeners. The kitchenette photo showed a cooktop, but there was no cookware except a tea kettle – no problem for me since I only reheated takeout, but if you plan to cook, check with the host. The king bed was nice, but the sheets were polyester; most guests probably don’t mind, but I’d expect cotton as standard. The jacuzzi bath took forever to fill and was lukewarm when it finally did, so plan to use the shower instead. If you’re a light sleeper, the road outside is fairly busy; I slept okay but be prepared for noise.
