We had a great stay. A cute house with a terrace by the pool. All the amenities were there for a blissful holiday, even extra towels by the pool. A kettle would have been handy…

The setting was beautiful, the breakfast fabulous, the welcome warm, and the bed comfy. We drove to Olhua for an evening meal; that was fine for us.

The view of the pool was nice, and in the evenings the pool was nicely lit. The owner was friendly, and parking was free and plentiful. The owners’ dogs were present (watch out, they like to run behind the gate). At night it was pleasant to sit on the terrace under the starry sky. Breakfast was available on site but extra paid. The property is in a small village – a car is necessary. The place is quite large, with several houses, but relatively quiet. I should note that my opinion is subjective but might help those who rarely book agritourism properties and usually choose hotels and pensions. This was our last stay in Algarve, and since I was looking for something different from a standard hotel, the pictures and description convinced me. However, I’m not satisfied with the quality of the property relative to the price I paid (about 100 €). The signage for arrival is weak – Google Maps leads to a neighbour’s house that is higher up and hard to back out of. Right after the turn a sign indicating to drive under the green gate would have been useful. The heart of the property is the open pool, but the rest of the area is neglected. Only two lounge chairs are at the pool, which is too few for the number of people present at once. Our room was very cramped – no space to unpack, no toothbrush holder by the tap because the bathroom wasn’t separated from the bedroom, which was very uncomfortable even when staying with my husband. The door to our room faced the owners’ house, and their noises were audible, causing discomfort. There was no safe in the room, and no one told us there was a fridge outside the room. There was no water upon arrival (in Algarve, that was standard in other places, especially at the end of June). The conditions for animals on site do not match what is shown in the photos. Instead of a stable, we found a very modest pasture with one metal stall and a tree. It was sad to see a foal and goats standing in the full sun during the day. The sight of a dog tied to a short chain near the neighbour’s shed also left a bad impression. Though not the owners’ fault, such images strongly affect the overall rating and one should prepare for them.
