We’re just outside the ZTL, close to Lucca’s centre, and we parked at Parcheggio Carducci, a 10‑minute walk from the hotel. The room was roomy, the bed comfy, and the host let us check in early when we arrived. Lifts were available so we didn’t have to haul luggage up the stairs, and there’s a small fridge in the room. A kettle would have been nice, though there was one communal in the lobby downstairs.

The breakfast was very varied and the staff were extremely friendly. Nothing else stood out enough to remember.

The location was central, and we rarely saw anyone physically at the reception, but everything was normal and quiet. The room was large with a beautiful shower. We were fine. The bed might have been a bit uncomfortable; even though we chose a double, we ended up with two joined beds.
