The evening reception, especially the young man who guided me to buy a take‑away pizza because there was nothing to eat when I arrived, was helpful. It’s a shame there’s no option to eat something, especially when you get there late. I knew Marseille but not this side; I’ve never stayed in a hotel there because I was usually hosted by a friend. The area isn’t very safe, so I had to ask around. At night it’s not easy. I took a bus and had to walk through a place that wasn’t great for a woman’s safety.
