We stayed at three hotels: this one, then the main Nha Trang hotel, and a five‑star hotel in Cam Ranh – the Marriott was the best. The beach was gorgeous and the sea was clean, with staff cleaning it a few times with a special net; there were plenty of loungers even with many people. Breakfast was delicious with a huge variety of world cuisines, and the staff were very polite – everyone spoke English and there were a few Russian‑speaking staff. Rooms were cleaned well. From the island it’s convenient to get to the city by ferry or free cable car, which we used. Staff helped with any questions, and there’s a medical worker who gives free ointment for sunburns or other meds. There’s a fun game room with ping‑pong and billiards, a decent hard‑court tennis court where racket rental is cheap, and the grounds are large with plenty of places to walk; you can get around on a buggy. Pillows and mattresses are comfortable. The on‑site Italian restaurant Mama Mia has friendly staff and good food, though prices are above average. If you don’t want to eat at the hotel and want to leave the island for the city, you can walk down the cable‑car path to a street with cheap restaurants, but we preferred to stroll in the city. The grounds are green with many birds, and once we saw monkeys in the mountains while riding a buggy, not on the property. The pool was always very clean.
