Low light pollution makes it perfect for spotting the Northern Lights. It’s a bit off the Ring Road, but the owners were welcoming and tried hard to make the space feel like home for travelers! 👍

The room fit four people fine, no kitchen but there was a microwave and cookware. The owner, who lives there, was very friendly. Fun fact: it used to be a school. The bathroom was a little dirty and one of the fixtures had a strong urine smell.

Free coffee and tea were provided, the bed was okay, and the bedrooms were nicely furnished and clean. The whole complex had a musty odor and the bathrooms were not very clean.

Nice, calm and great location for the Golden Circle.

This place was once a school, now turned into about seven or eight guest rooms. The gym in the adjacent building doubles as the breakfast room, lounge, etc., and there are many tents outside. The rooms are small but decent. There are two shared shower/toilet areas that all guests use (tents have separate washrooms). The dining area is just a large room—think basketball gym—with a projector showing TV on a big screen, which is uncomfortable and not a place you’d want to spend time in.
