We found the place amazing; the rowing boat and canoe let us explore the canals, which was exactly what we wanted to unwind before heading home. It’s close to Amsterdam, but because of the weather and our need to relax, we stayed at the boathouse. All the facilities were there and the nearby restaurants and shops were great. I can’t recommend it enough.

We simply loved it! An outstanding experience, beautiful location, great amenities. We enjoyed canoeing in the canals. You’re in the countryside yet 30 minutes from the centre of Amsterdam. The hosts were very helpful and kind! We hope to return!

The outdoor area is pleasant and well equipped, complete with a boat, a canoe and a fishing rod; inside, the barge is fairly spacious and nicely laid out, even though the bathroom is a bit small and the children’s cabin feels tight for our two teens.

A unique experience on a well‑appointed houseboat (with air‑conditioning) for two, with paddle and rowing boats available, situated about 15 km south of Amsterdam making it a handy base for trips to Amsterdam and the highly recommended Utrecht; the hosts were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and I’d gladly recommend it to others.

The setting was peaceful. The houseboat had everything you’d need. Thanks to Victor and Hélène for their warm welcome and for lending us the boat for a lovely canal ride.
