“Nooit meer. Doe jezelf een plezier en boek een ander hotel.”
The hotel has a sauna that is small but tidy and clean. The location is good, in the centre of Amiens. The hotel is a fallen glory and the room price is absolutely not worth it. In the 1990s it might have been four stars, but now it is at most two stars. Everything shows that the hotel is in its last days. The restaurant is closed, there is no room service, and the room décor feels like the 1990s. We stayed in room 1 in the newer part that was added to the old hotel. You can clearly see that it used to be an office. The computer sockets are still everywhere in the wall, and there are vertical office blinds on the windows. Next to the room is a metal gate that opens and closes loudly late at night and early in the morning. It wakes you up every time. The bathroom has a jacuzzi. There is mold at the edge. When the jets are turned on, a very dirty amount of biofilm from old soap, black mold, and skin remains is sprayed into the tub, so you really get it on your neck while you are in the bath. The stairs to the bathroom creak loudly, the electric shutters do not work on all windows, and there is no privacy. The reception is not present after 21:00 h and is only staffed again at 10:00 h in the morning. The noise and dirty jacuzzi complaints were reported to the breakfast room on the other side of the street. No response, everything was emailed again. No apologies, no empathy towards the guest. To be continued.
