There was no breakfast at this hotel. The toilet and shower for all rooms were located in the stairwell.

There was very little I liked. The key‑access instructions were clear and timely, which is the only positive I can mention. The property is extremely basic even though it presents itself as a pleasant destination with luxury rooms. Despite what was advertised, there is no lounge and no restaurant, so breakfast is not available and that wasn’t communicated clearly. This place is not set up for 21st‑century accommodation! There were hardly any electrical outlets and the electrical setup felt very 80s. One of our rooms had a shared bathroom in the hallway that required us to go through the only shared toilet; the sink in our room was blocked. No staff were present in the morning to point this out. We didn’t see a single person during our two nights there (we were out most of the day but still…). The doors were flimsy, so we could hear every single door opening and closing in the hallway… and the wall of the dormer in our room looked like it had a serious humidity problem. This is a house that probably was absolutely lovely 40 years ago and has now been converted to a B&B using the bare minimum of effort and budget.

The room lacked a mattress protector, and there was pubic hair in the toilet and shower; cigarette smoke lingered in the building and my room, and the photos online were completely misleading—plus the garden was a total mess.
