“We both enjoyed our holiday at Punga Cove.”
The restaurant and cafe were good, the location was excellent, the ferry ride to the resort was great, and the walking tracks were good with great views of the Marlborough sounds. The shower water flow was poor and the restaurant food wasn’t always done well.
The views were great, I liked the cafe/bar on the jetty, the food at the main restaurant was amazing, and the private room had its own deck. The room seemed to be on a slight slope; I thought it was just the bed, but it was the whole room.
“Okay but no Fernaux lodge”
The outlook was gorgeous and it was a great stop overall on the Queen Charlotte track. The bed was comfortable and the bar on the water was amazing. The staff weren’t adequately trained; no one seemed to have hospitality training and it showed. There were no cocktail options at the top bar, the water pressure was average compared to Fernaux Lodge probably because of the elevation and era, and there was no atmosphere in the restaurant with excessive lighting.
“Perfect spot to stay while walking The Queen Charlotte track.”
The location was beautiful and the amenities were great.
“Good”
The views were incredible, but our rooms were close to an outdoor spa and there were noisy people in it.
