The stay was excellent and highly recommended; the room sits on the second floor of a house where the owner lives on the first, the place is spotless and fully equipped, the bus stop is just a 5‑minute walk, the train station is reachable in 15 minutes by bus, and shops and restaurants are within about ten minutes on foot.

I stayed in an upstairs bedroom of a house run by Mrs. Kiyomi, who is very traditional and welcoming; she even puts signs in French, German, and Chinese around the living areas, showing her experience with foreign guests. It’s a good spot to get a feel for Japanese customs and daily life. Getting there isn’t easy—if you take the bus you’ll have to walk along a busy road with no sidewalk, while the train is safer but the walk is a bit longer. Since it’s a private house, there are no bright neon signs; you’ll need to spot the address plate １丁目−6−10 to the left of the front porch, which can be tricky at night.

Despite being a homestay, the amenities and overall accommodation feel more complete than other places I've stayed at. No particular complaints.
