This guesthouse sits in a superb spot with the most gorgeous view, free breakfast is fantastic, the restaurant serves great food, but it’s cash only. Free access to the sun lounges is a nice perk. The staff were lovely, and the room was clean, comfortable, and had good air‑con, though it’s small and you barely have space. The only downside was the lack of a small bench or table for storage, the open shower layout makes the bathroom very wet, and the Wi‑Fi was subpar.

The place was fine. The bed felt a bit firm at times, but nothing too bad.

The Shala River and the boat trip there are must-do on a tour of Albania, and for us it was one of the highlights. The small hotel sits right beside the river, offering free deck chairs under a parasol or shade from the trees. From the room you get a beautiful view of the river and surroundings. Breakfast was delightful, and you can also lunch and dine there. The hotel can arrange the long‑tail boat trip from Koman if you wish. The staff are very friendly and work hard to give guests a pleasant stay. During the day it’s busy with day‑trippers, but in the mornings and evenings the place feels almost private. You can rent kayaks across from the hotel for 10 € per hour; paddling upstream gives gorgeous, idyllic views of the Albanian Alps.
