“Renter Beware”
I stayed in the historic centre, close to all the amenities. The lift took me to the second floor. Housekeeping came every day—though it wasn’t always needed. Communication with the agent was generally swift. The apartment door didn’t seal, so I could hear the stairwell noise clearly. The unit was at the back of the building, right next to two bars. Friday and Saturday nights the music played loud until early hours, like 3:30 am. There’s a void directly outside the door where a kitchen window below opens onto it, so I heard all that noise too. At times it was impossible to sleep. It worked like a hotel room but there was no Do‑Not‑Disturb sign offered. The PowerPoint next to the bed made me unsure about using it. Breakfast was included when I booked, but I was disputed about it once I arrived. The agent tried to sort it out, but the ambiguous arrangement sent to me via WhatsApp left me feeling awkward. I wouldn’t stay here again.
