“Best B & B we have stayed at in a long while”

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at Merritt Guesthouse and the whole experience was amazing: the staff were friendly, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the place was spotless. The food was cooked to perfection and there was a wide menu to choose from. When we arrived, Marc & Julie had already decorated our room with balloons and left a bottle of fizz for us, which really went above and beyond in my opinion. We liked everything about Merritt Guesthouse.

The location was excellent and the breakfasts were exceptional. Marc and Julie were fabulous hosts who would do anything for you, and the weather was fabulous too; all in all, it was a wonderful experience. Nothing at Merritt House to complain about, and the town itself is good on the whole, with plenty of restaurants, cafés, etc., something for everybody.

“A Fabulous clean B&B ❤️”

We had a lovely 3‑night stay at this beautiful B&B in Paignton and honestly couldn’t fault it. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome by the pleasant and friendly hosts. The B&B was spotlessly clean, comfortable and in an excellent location, making it a perfect base for exploring Paignton and the surrounding area. The full English breakfast was absolutely wonderful—freshly prepared, delicious and the perfect way to start each morning. You could really tell that care and attention had gone into everything. The hosts Mark & Julie were lovely, welcoming and always friendly, which made our stay even more enjoyable. It’s clear that they take great pride in providing a lovely experience for their guests. We thoroughly enjoyed our three nights here and would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable and welcoming place to stay in Paignton. We would definitely love to return! ❤️
