The Broadmead Boutique B&B

We stayed one night in the small double room, which was snug but comfortable; the bathroom was spacious and the bed was lovely. Tea, coffee, and fresh towels were provided in the room. The breakfast was amazing, featuring a wide selection of cooked dishes and a table‑top spread with cereals, toast, fresh berries, yogurt, muffins, and beautiful overnight oats, plus the Broadmead breakfast, avocado, and poached‑egg muffin. The grounds were lovely and the lady at reception was friendly. We would definitely recommend this place. The only drawback was that it is half a mile from the centre, taking about 15 minutes to walk down; we tried for an Uber but none were available nearby. It wasn’t a deal‑breaker for us, and we would return.

“Stunning stay and such a serene place . Staff delightful”

The location was beautiful and serene, all staff were lovely and helpful, the breakfast was the best with many choices, and we enjoyed a delightful two‑day stay, even receiving a lovely upgrade upon arrival.

“Excellent value for money and a vey good breakfast”

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. The only issue—common to many hotels and self‑catering cottages—is that the heavy winter duvets are still used in September; even with the window wide open it was quite warm, which could become more problematic in a warmer climate. Sometimes I bring a blanket from home and use the empty duvet cover, but I’d prefer not to have to.

I stayed in a lovely bnb that had a jazz-themed room and served an excellent breakfast, though it was a bit far from the seafront.
