We had a very pleasant stay at Alghero Country Hotel. We had originally booked a family room with a sofa bed for the kids, but we were unexpectedly upgraded to an apartment with two bedrooms, which let us also spend evenings together in the living room—a real plus for our family. The well-equipped kitchen was also very convenient. The name Country Hotel lives up to its name. The view of the surrounding landscape, where horses also roam, gives the stay a lovely rural and quiet character. The pool was well maintained and the main building is nicely designed. The apartments are in a separate building, so we can’t judge the hotel rooms themselves. It’s clear that maintaining such a property takes a lot of work. Not everything is new or perfect, but you can see that effort is made to keep everything in good condition. What made the biggest difference for us was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. Communication was also very pleasant: clear, easy, and hassle‑free. All in all, we had a wonderful time and look back on our stay with a good feeling. A nice place with a relaxed atmosphere and especially very welcoming people! No downside, but you should be aware that it’s outside the center of Alghero.
