The Bel Air hotel in Castelldefels boasts stylish air-conditioned rooms with balconies overlooking Castelldefels Beach. Many rooms offer sea views, hardwood floors, and modern furniture. The hotel features a small outdoor swimming pool, business centre, attractive gardens, and free Wi-Fi. Located near the C-31 motorway, it provides easy access to Barcelona and the airport, with a bus stop directly outside.

We stayed one week in the hotel suite. The room was very spacious with a separate bathroom, toilet and shower. The highlights are the terrace with sunbeds and a lounge area and the view of the sea and the boulevard. There are many nice restaurants nearby. With the bus you can go straight to Barcelona city centre, to the centre of Castelldefels (for the market and the castle) and to the little harbour of Ginesta (also many restaurants there). Improvements: in the bathroom we missed a magnifying mirror (make‑up mirror) and a tissue box (can be solved). The free space for the toilet bowl is too limited to sit comfortably (cannot be adjusted). All in all: a fantastic stay, we will definitely come back. The only drawback is breakfast: limited choice. The coffee machines are a disaster (finally making coffee at the bar). On the last day we wanted to have breakfast at 7.30 am and despite the fact that breakfast starts at 7 am there was almost nothing available (no eggs, no butter cookies, no toppings,…). That was a pity.

Overall, the hotel is first class: the beachside location and rooms with sea view are perfect, though I wouldn't pick a room on the street side because you miss what makes the hotel special. The cleaning staff are very nice and friendly. On the downside, the staff’s friendliness is lacking; despite the great location and stars, a certain level of courtesy from employees should be taken for granted, yet it was missing in every situation—whether at breakfast, reception, or dinner. The hotel restaurant served a regional paella in the evening that was not outstanding in taste and did not meet expectations for that venue.
