“Det var ett rent nöjd och vi återkommer gärna!”
It was a fantastic hide‑away, very welcoming and service‑oriented hosts, and our dog Feliz felt right at home too.

The property was beautiful, scenic and serene, and the rooms and grounds were enjoyable; but the real highlight was our hosts Linda and Pete, who were incredible. After car trouble on the way, they were caring and flexible, looking after our group of 11 from the late‑evening arrival until departure with great attention and care, making the experience even better.

The setting was magnificent, the large accommodation spacious with a very well‑equipped kitchen, but there were several shortcomings: no mattress risers on the cold tile floor, no curtains in the kitchen to block daylight, no “cozy” lounge atmosphere without a coffee table or ambient lighting, no frames or décor, and no curtain or second screen to separate the bedroom from the rest of the space for more privacy when guests return.

Breakfast was lovely, the owners were very attentive and made you feel relaxed, and the shared facilities were all fantastic; the swimming pool was a big bonus too. We enjoyed cooking in the shared kitchen and dining on the terrace. It’s usually a wedding venue, but when rooms are available for a bed‑and‑breakfast stay the chateau is just a wonderful place to stay. I can’t recommend it enough; we love traveling and rarely return to the same place, but we’ll definitely come back. French chateau hotels often feel “too characterful” with wallpaper and old furniture that verge on musty, but this place is well‑upgraded, fresh, clean, yet still full of character and charm.

The location is lovely, the owners are very welcoming, and the property sits beside a river, making it quiet and peaceful.
