The Melville Inn by Innkeeper's Collection

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had such a lovely stay at this hotel and really enjoyed every moment of it! 😊 The room was beautiful, spotless, and very comfortable, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. 🛏️✨ What really made our experience special was the staff. ❤️ Everyone was so friendly, kind, and welcoming, always happy to help and making sure we had everything we needed. The waiters at the restaurant were especially lovely and made us feel very well looked after. 🙌😊 The food was delicious 🍽️😋, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Everything was great, and the atmosphere was warm and relaxing. 🥰 It’s not always easy to find a place where you feel genuinely welcome, but this hotel definitely gave us that feeling. ❤️ We left with lovely memories and would happily come back again! 🏨✨ A big thank you to the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable. 👏😊 Highly recommended! 💯

The hotel sits close to the city, though not too close, and a simple bus ride from the hotel takes you straight into Edinburgh’s centre. Nothing else to add.

“Comfortable and reasonably priced.”

Getting between Edinburgh and the Melville Inn is quick outside rush hour, and there are a few retail outlets nearby that we haven’t explored yet. Nothing else to comment on.

The property is decent but nothing special, and it feels a bit far from the city centre. We noticed a funky smell, and the receptionist wasn’t very friendly.

“Good”

It’s a traditional hotel that offers breakfast and free car parking, but the Wi‑Fi is slow, the basin drain isn’t working properly, and the room window can’t be opened.
