Just 120 metres from the beach and close to Walking Street. 7‑Eleven stores, fast‑food places, and local restaurants are within a 2–3 minute walk. There’s a bar directly below the hotel, yet it remains surprisingly quiet.

Clean, tidy, safe place. Nothing that we didn’t like.

The room was on the third floor above the bar, a modest sports bar that seems to stay open until 1 am. Rooms above are rented out. Nothing extra. The minibar is paid. The bed was comfortable, but the towels felt a bit worn. The area is very noisy, yet the windows are new and soundproofing is excellent. My room had a balcony where you could smoke if you smoked. In principle, for 500 baht you could smoke in the room, and at that moment I even regretted not having that habit, because for that money it would have been incredibly pleasant to break the law and light a cigarette lying straight in bed, tossing ash onto the pillow. Nearby there are restaurants, shops, a shopping mall that partially turns into an open‑air market. Everything is there, including a large beauty salon. But don't rush in! Walk a bit further and right under the escalator in an open shop, an elderly Thai barber will cut you in 15 minutes for just 185 baht (I got cut there!). In restaurants tourists are offered dishes for 200–300 baht. Find a kitchen or stall; chicken rice should not cost more than 60 baht. Don't let yourself be fooled! Live like the locals! The next morning I woke up to find pleasant house ants in the bathroom. They methodically and concentrically explored my electric toothbrush and toothpaste tube. It seems they had never tried SPLAT toothpaste, and it’s a shame because it’s one of the best toothpastes in its price segment. In the following days we played a game: I killed the ants with water and moved the tube to different places, and they always found it again. By the third day I had gotten used to them like pets, and it was a bit sad to say goodbye. But I pulled myself together, gathered my things, and descended a very steep staircase without an elevator. I returned my deposit of 1000 baht and that was it. How are you, my ants?

The place is definitely not a hotel or suitable accommodation. They built a bar in front of it. Even though I was a guest, they didn’t let me drink the coffee I made in my room in front of the hotel. The side is entered with a key and there’s no security. It’s an old building. The doors don’t close. Because the doors don’t close, they make noise. Because of the noise, you’re rudely warned by the hotel owner or host. When you enter you’re charged a deposit because there’s no reception or security. Because this is not a hotel or suitable accommodation. They put a fan next to the air conditioner in the room and the fan is noisy. They put the fan next to the AC because the AC is insufficient. The AC doesn’t work.

The location is good. The staff are helpful. Cleaning is adequate. The price could have been better.
