We were only a short walk from the town centre, which was great. Breakfast had a selection of food, but it didn’t suit our taste. The toaster and microwave in the kitchenette were a bonus. We ended up buying food from local shops to meet our needs. A noisy guest stayed in the garden room and there was no sink in the kitchenette, which is really needed. Although we knew about it, the shared bathroom was a no‑no for us, though we were lucky to share it with just one other guest, so it wasn’t a big issue.

The room was quiet, which I appreciated, yet the silence felt a bit too quiet for my taste.

The location was convenient for walking into town and close to the Co-op, but I was disappointed that there was no cooked breakfast, especially since I’m not a cereal lover, and I was woken up a few times by builders passing right past my window as early as 7am.
