“This property was extremely unclean and poorly maintained. I was unable to stay and had to leave.”

The spot is great, but the kiosk they gave me to fill out my details was filthy—like the base had never been dusted. In the lobby, an elderly couple lounged on the furniture with their bare feet, scrolling on their phones. I should have avoided checking in then. When I finally reached my room, it was in a terrible state: the furniture was in bad shape, there was a cot that looked like a bed, and the balcony outside was crumbling with syringe caps on the floor. After about an hour I decided I didn’t feel safe or comfortable staying there, so I went back to the lobby to check out, only to see the same elderly couple still hanging around.

The room offered good value, but they couldn’t meet my handicapped needs and told me to cancel through the booking app, which I couldn’t do because I had no internet. Inside the room, the shower wall was covered in hair and there was a used sock under the chair.

“Won’t be back.”

The water wasn’t hot, a dog barked at 9 am, and housekeeping asked me if I was checking out. I texted the desk to confirm my 10:45 am checkout and to inform housekeeping, but they didn’t read the text. One desk person I couldn’t understand, another I could. One stairwell smelled bad—probably from dogs—and the bathtub was missing a stopper.
