The décor is polished with plenty of charm in the room, terrace, and the complimentary water bottle. The staff are welcoming and kind. A power strip would be useful, and it’s hard to set the shower water temperature.

Close to the city centre, the rooms overlook a pleasant garden and are far from noise.

I never managed to get in. I still haven’t heard from customer service, Booking, or the hotel, and my refund request was denied. I need confirmation of the booking, a debit from my account, and someone to answer me; I found the door closed when I arrived.

The historic building has a certain charm, though it felt a bit neglected. Breakfast was decent. The bed was comfy and the room was roomy. The location was convenient and parking was easy each time I returned. Issoudun’s best restaurant, managed separately since December 2025, is just steps away and worth visiting. A few ants appeared in the bathroom, the shutters on one window seemed stuck open, blocking morning light, and the granola was going stale.
