The view was spectacular and the stay was awesome!! The staff were friendly and there was a shuttle bus. For the price, you’d expect hot water in the shower. There were a lot of stairs!

The weather was fine. The location, the building itself, and the thousands of steps to get anywhere made it feel overhyped.

We had a fantastic time at Camping et Karuna. The site was clean, quiet, and surrounded by beautiful nature—literally in the middle of the jungle, which made the whole experience feel special. The vibe was super relaxed, and the pool was a highlight with a stunning view. We left feeling completely refreshed and would love to return.

The Honey Trap was such an experience. It’s a beautiful place to stay in El‑Nido and the surroundings are mesmerizing. The place is very clean and cozy, with great facilities, a swimming pool that offers a gorgeous view, and breakfast that’s delicious. The major issue was the lack of communication and service from the staff. I booked a romantic setup for an engagement surprise at 8500 pesos, messaging Ms D weeks ahead via WhatsApp. The day before, no one replied. On the day, a few hours before taking my partner to the Honey Trap, Ms D called to say the setup couldn’t be done because of potential rain (which didn’t happen). I was disappointed by the last‑minute change. I suggested moving the setup inside the Honey Trap, and she agreed. I never received any text updates or photos when I asked for them to confirm everything was on track. I felt anxious and worried that it wouldn’t go as planned. I had to ask two friends to visit the Honey Trap personally to check everything, and they found the bed unclean and the staff showed no urgency. They had to help set up the surprise. The surprise was booked for 4 pm but actually happened at 6 pm. Karuna offers pick‑ups from and to the city. We requested a pick‑up via WhatsApp and waited almost an hour. I asked if it was coming and only received a reply that it would be late while we were already on a tricycle to Karuna. Despite all this, my stay was epic, and I still rate Honey Trap by Karuna a solid 7, hoping this issue gets fixed. I’ll see if I can give a 10 next time!
