“Wonderful”
This property is wonderful. The old house, which they call the "mansion," is beautiful and interesting, but the room we were given was not in that house; it was in one of the surrounding buildings added to the site. Those buildings are very well done and blend into the landscape. The rooms are not very large, but they are completely adequate. They are decorated nicely in the "mansion" theme even though they are separate, which is a nice touch. The star attraction here is the location. The lake and surrounding scenery are glorious. They have gone out of their way to create lovely, comfortable spaces to enjoy the view throughout the property. There are many outdoor seating areas as well as sheltered spots for when the weather isn’t so nice, where you can enjoy the view of the lake and the surrounding area. It’s quite lovely. We also enjoyed the food. We had dinner in the evening and breakfast the next morning, and both were very good. We were sad that we only had one night to enjoy such a lovely place.
