The Inn on Long Lake is situated on the shores of Long Lake, 10 minutes from downtown Nanaimo, British Columbia, offering lake views from every room's balcony or patio. Breakfast was okay, the location was central for the activities we wanted, the view from our room overlooking the lake was wonderful and the patio chairs were nice, and our suite was spacious and very comfortable. We were charged for parking, and it feels more like a motel.

The motel is a good distance from the city center on a lake, we had a room with a lake view that was really nice, and we could rent a canoe or kayak from the hotel. Breakfast was good, parking was no problem—though it is questionable why parking costs extra. The highway directly at the motel can be heard clearly, the breakfast room is very small, but we had no trouble finding a seat. It was also unusual that the parking was paid, which is not the case at other comparable motels.

The room was very large with a beautiful view of the lake, parking was free, and breakfast by the lake was good, but the air conditioning was noisy.
