“Cigarette smell in the rooms”

The staff were really friendly, and it was a short walk to Lidl and a new, beautiful small shopping center, about a 4‑minute walk to the bus station. The carpets were dirty and stained (see pictures), the cafeteria allowed smoking right next to the rooms, so cigarette smoke seeped in all the time. The shower heads were old and delivered uneven water pressure. The soap dispenser was filthy, forcing us to buy a new one elsewhere. The toilet flush failed and water constantly leaked out; I had to fix it myself. The town overall felt old and poorly maintained.

After staying at Hotel Ušće six times, each time confirming quality again. The staff are extremely friendly, comfort is enviable, and cleanliness is impeccable. Highly recommend to anyone looking for comfortable and reliable accommodation! After my sixth stay, this was definitely my last visit. During this weekend, I returned to my room after midnight, at 00:30, and was met with an unpleasant surprise—there was no hot water at all, so I had to shower with cold water. Additionally, the toilet in the bathroom was in terrible condition and water couldn’t fill, so the room had no working toilet, and I had to call a friend and go to his toilet. In the morning I complained to staff, but this experience was a big disappointment. After so many months of loyalty to this hotel, it’s unacceptable that basic things like hot water and a working toilet aren’t provided for guests.
