We found it excellent value for money. The owners worked hard to make us feel at home. Plenty of parking, easy to locate, and just off the M6. It was almost exactly halfway between Dumfries, where we’d been on holiday, and our home, so the spot was perfect for a break in our journey.

The property was tucked into a narrow street but offered plenty of parking at the back. Because I have limited mobility, I didn’t like the stairs.

The room was lovely, clean, and well decorated, but the building’s frontage and the pub downstairs were a bit drab. The evening meal was a delicious homemade pie that was very tasty, and breakfast was nice too.
