Hotel Catala offers free Wi-Fi and a tour desk that can arrange various activities, such as river trips. The rooms feature Catalan-style décor, cable TV and a private bathroom with free toiletries. Almost all have views of the garden. The city of Poza Rica can be reached in 45 minutes by car. Veracruz is a 2:15 -hour drive away.

Si bien el hotel no se encuentra tan cerca del Centro de Tecolutla, su ubicacion con respecto a la playa es muy buena. La construcción es bonita y las condiciones de limpieza en habitaciones, pasillos, escaleras y zona de alberca son óptimas. La atención de la recepcionista es inmejorable, cálida, atenta y resolutiva. Desafortunadamente la limpieza de la piscina no fue óptima a nuestra llegada, la conexión del wifi en horario nocturno era inestable (lo cual imposibilita si tienes que hacer trabajo a distancia) y el aire acondicionado no tenía mucha potencia. De la misma manera, se sugiere revisar el estado de las regaderas

The staff were very attentive, letting me wash my clothes and handling any mishap; overall Tecolutla suffers from weak Telcel Wi‑Fi and phone coverage, but if you’re looking to relax, it’s perfect.
