I enjoyed this cozy older‑style yet modern‑amenities hotel. It had everything needed for a short stay and offered a very relaxing atmosphere. The bathrooms, toilets, laundry, and kitchen were easy to access. I loved the setup; it was very welcoming. All staff were friendly and happy to help with anything, and they were approachable. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs to be near Newcastle city for an event or a city getaway. It sits above a pub, but once you closed the door in the room, you could not hear any sounds. The room was fully equipped with everything you need.

From Bathurst, the TV is huge, the beds are cozy, the bathrooms and toilets are comfortable, and laundry facilities are very inexpensive. Even though there was a communal kitchen, it was nice to have a kettle, microwave, and cutlery bowls and cups in our rooms. We stayed 3 nights and, although the rooms were above the pub, the upstairs rooms were quiet, comfortable, and spacious. I was surprised at how modern it was. The towels were super soft. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much for your hospitality. Everyone was super nice 😎🌴💕

I’ve stayed at The Seven Seas several times, and whenever I need to be in the city it works well because it’s cheap, parking is a breeze, and I can hop on public transport. A bus takes me straight into the city and there’s also a light rail, just a ten‑minute walk from the rail interchange. The staff are always super friendly, the beer stays cold, and the food is great. My rooms are spacious and always come with crockery, cutlery, a kettle and a microwave, which is handy since I always bring my own breakfast. There’s also a basic communal kitchen and a guest balcony where you can sip a drink and watch the harbour. It’s not luxury, but the beds are always comfy and clean, and the price is good. If you have mobility issues, note that there’s a big staircase and no elevator. On my most recent visit, only one of the two bathrooms was open, so there was just one shower and one toilet for everyone. The bench in the shower recess was broken from the wall and just lying on the floor, with no one fixing it—hoping they’ll sort it out next time.
