The Best Western The Royal Chase Hotel, Shaftesbury, is a Georgian ex-monastery transformed into a hotel, set within picturesque private grounds on the outskirts of Shaftesbury. Byzant, an award-winning restaurant, serves creative English and continental cuisine. The hotel features an indoor pool, sauna, and Country Bar. Children under 12 eat breakfast free with a parent. Weddings and parties are often held here.

The staff were kind. The hotel is dilapidated, filthy, and does not match the photos. Sheets were dirty with blood, cobwebs everywhere, and it was raining inside.

Breakfast and food in general excellent. The shower seemed to lack power and was adequate.

A large and quiet room. Excellent services and breakfast too. Free electric car charging with a standard outlet, very useful. Lack of elevator to reach the first floor.

I appreciated the staff’s friendly attitude, but the room was scorching hot, the hallways felt outdated, the toilet wouldn’t flush, and the mattress was low quality.
