A bit off the main town, so nights were very quiet. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly; I even played chess and chatted with them for a while. They’re building a restaurant, which will be handy later. The place is clean, comfortable, and the bathroom design is cool.

We really liked our stay at Opik Homestay. The room was roomy, clean, and cozy. The restaurant food was tasty, and the included breakfast was also great. The staff were lovely, very helpful, and friendly. We could do laundry there and rent a scooter. The location is excellent—ideal for relaxing in a calm area, yet you can reach anywhere quickly by scooter.

The room and bed were spacious and comfy, with a spot to lay and hang your stuff. The staff were helpful and friendly. Hot water was available, and the place felt relaxing. I could dine in my room and the food was tasty. Unfortunately, bad weather kept me from exploring the area. The rain made the room extremely damp, so my belongings didn’t dry and the hair dryer wasn’t powerful enough. There was no soap or shampoo in the bathroom and no shelf to put them on. Several mosques nearby meant I had to bring earplugs, but I slept very well.

If you’re hunting for a luxury stay at that price, keep dreaming and scrolling! But if you want the most beautiful local experience, this place is a must on your trip to Tetebatu. Price/quality 10/10, the area 15/10, the people 20/10. They’ll make you feel at home from the first moment and give you an experience you’ve never had before – from music to campfires with fresh chicken, playing pool together, seeing the ricefields, and more. So ignore the review from the German guy; he probably doesn’t enjoy life!
