The spot was decent, but the moment I stepped inside the building I was hit with a horrible odor, and there’s a big gap in the main door. Luckily, I didn’t spot any rats.

The hosts were friendly, the price was good, the location was solid, and the apartment itself was great, plus there’s convenient parking. The only issue was the noise from the street and neighbors; otherwise nothing the host could improve. The mattresses could use an upgrade.

The place was roomy and clean, the staff paid close attention, the facilities worked well, and the Wi‑Fi was solid. However, the building and the escalator emitted a strong, lingering odor that never cleared. The beds were too small and uncomfortable, the white lighting made it feel stark, and the apartment was noisy with sounds coming from everywhere.

The location was fantastic, right in the heart of the Gaslamp District, and I was there mainly to catch a Padres game at Petco Park, surrounded by countless bars and restaurants. I would stay here again without hesitation. There was nothing I disliked; the place was clean, comfortable, and offered plenty of amenities. Even in a busy part of town, I slept soundly.

If I had to answer, I’d say it’s the location. The soundproofing was awful—footsteps from upstairs kept going on through the night, almost nonstop, which was outrageous. I strongly do not recommend it.
