“Un luogo autentico, fuori dal tempo”
The location is simply wonderful: Cà di Veroli sits in the green of the Tuscan‑Romagnolo Apennines, surrounded by forest and the sounds of many rivers, streams, and natural pools. It’s a perfect escape from everyday life, especially since the phone signal is almost nonexistent—an opportunity to disconnect. The restaurant is fantastic, offering traditional Romagnolo cuisine and local products, and the atmosphere is great. Dining in the former barn of the farmhouse adds to the charm. Another strong point is the easy access to countless hikes, from short walks to more demanding treks. What we liked most was the atmosphere—it feels like stepping into an old‑world home. The building keeps its original stone and wood character, everything is simple, authentic, and unpretentious. It’s an experience where you truly feel immersed in the place and nature, not just a hotel guest. Leaving your phone off, strolling in the woods, eating well, and enjoying the silence makes the stay a real disconnection holiday. Some small inconveniences stem from the natural setting and the historic building: rooms are a bit small and windows are limited, so ventilation isn’t always ideal. Acoustic isolation is also limited—wooden doors and floors mean that at night, late‑night arrivals or bathroom trips can be heard in nearby rooms, waking you up several times. These are part of Cà di Veroli’s authentic character, and I see them as minor trade‑offs to experience such a unique, nature‑immersed place far from typical modern hotels. We stayed during Ferragosto week, a very busy period, so perhaps in other times the peace is uninterrupted.
