The spot is great, close to all the tourist spots, and the room was spacious with very friendly staff. However, there was no hot water after about 10 minutes, the elevator was old and cramped—two people with two suitcases barely fit—and there was an odd smell, like old furniture.

The check‑in was straightforward because a code was sent to us right when we arrived, and the room was brand new, fully equipped, recently renovated, and impeccably clean with a modern look. Being in the heart of Nice made the location ideal for a city break. The only small snag was that there was just one toilet roll.

The hotel is near the train station, the room design features open wall panels, a toilet and shower area that are architecturally pleasing, but the room faced the street and was very noisy from traffic and a loud air‑conditioner in the opposite building, so we had to close the window. The built‑in wine cooler, which I can’t understand why the hotel would need, kept turning on and off at night, ruining the sleep. The digital display light on the side of the bed illuminated the room all night, so it never got dark.

The location is near all conveniences, the bed is comfortable and the place is quiet, the cleaning ladies are kind and helpful, there are plenty of lights and power outlets, and the air‑conditioning works well. On the downside, it took 15 hours to receive the key code for the room, the carpet on the hallway is in bad shape, and there are rats in the courtyard around the bins.

It’s close to the train station, making transfers to other places super fast, the place was clean, and checking in was easy. The drawback is that you still have to climb stairs to reach the elevator, and the elevator stops mid‑floor, so you end up with another half‑flight of stairs to get to your room—something to keep in mind if you’re lugging heavy luggage.
