The location was great, right in the middle of the bars and restaurants. However, we had a terrible experience and couldn't stay in our room. When we arrived, the bed sheets were stained and the entire bedroom smelled like raw sewage coming from the bathroom. Besides the lack of cleanliness, we felt very unsafe because people downstairs in the bar area were openly doing drugs and falling asleep in the bar. The manager promised us a full refund for the awful conditions, but they have completely ignored us since and never sent the money. Very disappointed.

Clean spacious room Staff friendly Ideally located Sufficient equipment provided. Lots of items on stairs and corridors could cause a problem in case of emergency exit. Because it was above a pub there was noise the first night till 0100 and the second night one of the residents caused noise at 0330 for approximately an hour

The beds were fairly comfortable and the linen was clean. It was conveniently located for visiting friends in Neath. The tiny shower room stank of mold and there was nowhere to hang wet towels. The room was right above the entrance and drunken patrons were screaming and shouting below the window until well past midnight, so we had to keep the window closed, making the room very hot and stuffy. We saw one staff member give us the keys and show us to the room when we arrived, but we saw no other staff until the night before we checked out, when we saw the manager in the bar and she casually told us to just leave the keys in the door when we left. We only stayed two nights, but the tea cups we used were not replaced and the beds were not made. In fact, the room was not touched.

Not clean at all – there was bird poo on the shelf, disgusting.
