Everything was good, the view was nice, and Tsarevet was just outside. Unfortunately, there was no sound or light show during our stay. Cars or taxis cannot reach the hotel; we had to carry our luggage up the inclined cobblestone street.

All basic needs were met and the owner was responsive and friendly. The location was perfect, and the property felt charming for those tired of conventional hotels. I would have liked a refrigerator and coffee maker in my room, but the common kitchen was well equipped and an acceptable alternative.

I stayed on a quiet side street just off the main traffic, and the view from my room was the fort. The room was huge, with a comfy king‑size bed and a small balcony, plus a fully equipped kitchen. Nick was a super nice and helpful host, and he left chocolates and plums in the kitchen. I think this is the best place in Bulgaria, but you really have to ask for a room that looks over the fort!

The location has large rooms and is in the old town, and the owner is very helpful, but there's no parking nearby, which is an issue for the whole old city center.

The building and its surroundings are really pretty, though the room didn't have a view and there was a bit of water in the drain.
